Parking near Klosteret and Klosterstræde 17 is easy with detailed guidance to nearby lots, weekend regulations, and electric vehicle charging options — all just steps away in central Copenhagen.

Parking at Klosteret

Parking in the historic heart of Copenhagen can be a challenge — but with a little guidance, it becomes easy and stress-free.

The two nearest public parking lots are:

  • Valkendorfsgade (120 meters from Klosteret)
  • Dyrkøb (140 meters from Klosteret)

Please pay close attention to the street signs at each location, as rules and rates may vary slightly between lots. Failure to pay during active hours may result in a fine of DKK 510 (max. 3 fines per parked vehicle per 24 hours).

How to pay

You can pay for parking by the hour using:

  • Payment machines located near the parking lots (accept most international cards)
  • The EasyPark app, which is the most convenient solution for smartphones

Free parking

Parking is free from Saturday at 17:00 until Monday at 08:00 in most city areas — including those near Klosteret.
